Ingredients of Spanish Omelette:
• 5 servings
• 1 cup potato
• 1/2 cup capsicum (green chili)
• 4 eggs
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1/2 cup onion
• 1/4 cup coriander leaves
• 4 tbsp vegetable oil
• Salt as required
How to make Spanish Omelette?
Step 1- Chop the vegetables and fry them
To make this unique omelet, peel and chop the potatoes and onions. After this, wash and finely chop the capsicum and coriander leaves. Heat a pan and add 3 tbsp cooking oil to it.
Add chopped potatoes and fry for two minutes. Now, add chopped onion and fry for two minutes. Add 1/2 tsp salt and cook for 5-8 minutes till the color turns golden brown.
Step 2- Add eggs to vegetables
Take out the potato and onion mixture in a bowl and crack eggs in it. Then add finely chopped capsicum, green coriander, salt, and black pepper as per taste. Mix all the ingredients well with the help of a whisker. Cover with a lid for 10 minutes.
Step 3- Cook the egg mixture on medium flame
Heat another pan and add the remaining oil in it. Put the beaten egg mixture in the pan and cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes. After cooking, cut the edges using a spatula.
Step 4- Cook on low flame and serve hot
Cover the pan with a plate and carefully turn it over and keep it on the plate. Put the omelet back in the pan on the other side and cook on low flame for another four minutes. Once cooked, your Spanish Omelette is ready to be served.
